PPH – Injection

Polystyrene, produced by polymerizing the styrene monomer, is a transparent and rough plastic raw material. It is the most widely used plastic raw material for general purposes. Hence, it is included in the top 5 plastic raw materials list in the world. Its density varies between 1.03 to 1.06 g / ml. It is resistant to a maximum temperature of 70° C. It is bright, fragile, and has a very rough structure and it can be used in many areas.

Why is it the most preferred material?

Ps (Polystyrene); is preferred since it can be used in contact with the food, it can be handled easily, it is transparent, fluid and it offers many advantages.

What are the uses of this material?

Offering many uses, this raw material can be classified into 3 types according to the processing style; Crystal, Foam, and Antishock. Since this raw material is very easy to handle and it is very inexpensive, it is used in many industries instead of wood, metal, and paper. It is widely in following areas; insulation plates, washing machines and refrigerator parts, radio and television cases, film and plate construction, lighting materials, paper and fabric coverings, household items, battery boxes and toys.

The Antishock Polystyrene is mostly used for plate practices, TV Panels, Food Packaging, Stationary Products, Computer Parts and picnic items such as plates, spoons, and forks. On the other hand, the crystal polyethylene is rougher and incredibly transparent and it is used in the production of CD boxes, electric equipment, cups, cassettes, home decoration products, lamps, plate applications, shoe boxes and cosmetic product boxes.
